I provide counselling and psychotherapy for adults in South Bristol, working one-to-one in a safe, confidential space where you can explore what matters most to you. I see clients face-to-face, or online.

I have particular experience working with:

Dark storm clouds over rolling hills at dusk with faint orange horizon.

Anxiety, Depression & Low Mood

A solitary tree with lush green leaves standing in a grassy field with foggy sky in the background.

Loneliness, Isolation, & Disconnection

Relationship Difficulties

Trauma & Childhood Experiences

Identity, Self-worth and Personal Growth

Frost-covered autumn leaves on the ground.

Dissociation & Emotional Regulation

A path winding through a green forest with tall trees and bluebells blooming on either side.

My approach

Looking for the right counsellor can feel overwhelming and time consuming, as I know from my own experiences! Hopefully you will find the below information helpful in determining whether I would be a good fit for you. The most important thing is that you feel comfortable with me. For that reason, I offer a free 15-minute initial consultation. This session helps me to get a sense of what you hope for from therapy, as well as giving you opportunity to ask questions and get a sense of me, and if I am someone you would like to work with.

An integrative approach
This means I integrate elements of different therapeutic approaches tailored to you. For example, my practice is rooted in relational psychodynamic thinking, which considers how our relationships, past and present, shape your experience and wellbeing. A cognitive behavioural approach, however, focuses on how our thoughts impact how we feel and how we behave. Underpinning how I work is a person-centered approach; hearing your story with empathy, warmth, and non-judgemental acceptance of you and your current circumstances.

What does this look like in practice?

Therapy with me tends to be thoughtful, gentle, sometimes a little challenging, but always collaborative. An honest, safe, reflective space where you can start to make sense of your story and grow into a version of yourself that feels more at peace.

Every person is different, so my approach is fluid. Traditional talking therapy in a calm, private space can be helpful. For others, walking and talking or incorporating somatic (body-based) techniques can help work through emotions that may be stored in the body.
